Today is a letter T sort of day- a rainy Thursday, ripe for frog and toad spotting. I've been thinking of starting to read The Wind and the Willows to the girls, and of course, this brings toads to mind. For now, we're learning about toads and frogs and tables and Thursdays.

We also listened to the fable of "The Frog and the Scorpion" online at the Story Museum. The Museum includes a free story map which makes a great coloring page that teaches sequencing as you listen to audio story. Of course I couldn't resist adding an opportunity to teach the life cycle of a frog as well as the moral, "A scorpion is always a scorpion..." You can download my activity sheets for free below.
